Henninger Media Services Collaborates with Mason Bronner and Make-a-Wish on “The Fallen”
Last night’s event had all the trappings of a Hollywood premiere. The marquee of the historic Uptown Theater was illuminated, local media gathered and the crowd chatted excitedly, waiting to greet the Executive Producer as he pulled up in a limo. When he arrived in a fabulous top hat, the assembled audience gave him a huge round of applause. In this case, the Producer was Wish Kid Mason Bronner and his dream of producing a superhero movie was coming true.
While battling Leukemia, Mason had dreamed up a team of superheroes and his wish was to see them come to life on the big screen. Over the last nine months, a huge team worked hard to make Mason’s creative vision a reality. Over $1,000,000 in time, services and gear was donated to make the film. It would end up being Make-a-Wish Mid-Atlantic’s 10,000th wish, and it helped unite the D.C. production community in a common cause.
We were happy to be a part of the project, donating editing/finishing (Christopher Campbell), color correction (Lauren Meschter) and audio mix (Dave Kowalski, Donna Gureckas). We also contributed core services (Ari Zagnit) and created the DCP for the premiere (Sam Crawford). Laura VonSchriltz, Sue O’Hora and Sarah Ellison helped kick off and manage the project. Mason came in to oversee color and mix and his can-do spirit and creativity impressed everyone.
